Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling continues to blow my mind! It has been years since I first read this book. So much imagination packed into nearly 900 pages! It was a challenge to complete this one during the month of December, but I did it!

After 14 years in hiding, He Who Must Not Be Named is back, and Cornelius Fudge and the rest of the Ministry of Magic are in denial. Harry is having weird dreams that lead him down an unknown hallway, his scar is hurting him all year, and Dumbledore has had to flee Hogwarts! The wicked Professor Umbridge is taking over with all her Magical Decrees, detentions that literally leave scars, and her ever-present hovering. “Ahem, ahem.”

Harry comes out on top with a little help from his friends and all is well again at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Join me in January with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
