A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna

I’m going to venture out on a limb and say that this book is right up there with Matt Haig’s Midnight Library. I loved, loved, loved this book! It has all the warm fuzzy emotional feels wrapped up in a magical old house and tied with the found family trope. I wanted to laugh, cry, scream, and rejoice all at the same time!

Sera is an amazing individual who thinks her childhood gift has been stripped from her when she tries to save her beloved aunt. She is surrounded by people she grows to care for and who love her. Just like we do, she doesn’t see what they see in her, how much she gives to those in her life. All she sees is her own inner struggle. What an amazing and real life character she is!

Her journey is long but the lessons learned are deep. She discovers her gift was still there the whole time, deep inside, just waiting to be healed and nurtured again.

I highly recommend this book to everyone, but especially if you enjoy old houses, witchy charms, and emotional cozy feels with a little romance on the side.
