Exciting, adventurous, and dark, the last and final book in the Harry Potter Series, The Deathly Hallows brings the reign of Lord Voldemort to an end. The stakes are high, and while, unfortunately, some lives are lost, Harry and his friends fight to the end to bring peace back to the magical and muggle world.
Riding on their fraught emotions following Dumbledore’s death, Harry, Hermione, and Ron set out on a quest to find the horcruxes which hold pieces of Voldemort’s soul. These all must be destroyed if they have any hopes of getting rid of him for good. Jealousy surges and lines are crossed in the threesome’s friendship.
I was both happy and sad to have finally completed the entire series for the 3rd time. What I discovered? It is true that while books never change, we as readers do change. When you read a book for the second or third time, you not only rediscover the magic, you come from a different version of yourself each time. Your feelings towards the book are different. And in most cases, this is a very good thing.
