Oh! Who doesn’t love a good Christmas story that begins with someone being alone at Christmas, and ends with said person finding their tribe, and better yet, THE ONE!
This is the second book I’ve read from Laurie Gilmore, part of the Dream Harbor series. This one is set on a Christmas tree farm and takes place leading up to Christmas day. It makes the perfect read for getting in the mood for the holiday season.
As I said before, fans of Gilmore Girls will notice many similarities to the fictional town of Stars Hollow. If you love Gilmore Girls, seasonal or holiday romances, small-town charm, or Hallmark movies during the Christmas season, this book will likely be for you!
It’s a very quick and easy read, ideal for late November or early December. Cozy up in your comfy pj’s, turn on the Christmas playlist, drink a peppermint mocha latte, and settle in for a sweet romance.
Just like the other book I read, this one is predictable in a very good way, in the comforting familiarity of your favorite romance tropes with no big surprises. It is the type of book you want to finish in one sitting.
If you like spice, this book is for you. If you prefer more gentle kissing and handholding, accompanied by a slow burn, this is NOT the book for you. Some of the scenes are very explicit!
The cover’s art and stenciled edges are beautiful and make it a great book to decorate your shelf with during Christmas!
